Spinal Injections

Spinal injections can be a safe and effective way to diagnose pain generator sites and to treat pain.

When incorporating spinal injections in diagnosis an anesthetic agent is injected at the suspected source of pain. When the pain is relieved within minutes of receiving that injection, this helps confirm a pain generator. Once a pain generator is confirmed this aids in further treatment planning.

When a pain generator site is identified oftentimes a steroid medication is injected to reduce inflammation and pain. In other situations, it may point us to considering radio frequency ablation techniques.

When spinal injections are used in pain treatment significant relief is often experienced fairly quickly. There are rarely complications due to an injection procedure. Often physical therapy measures are incorporated to aid in overall recovery.

Our goal is to enable you to be as free of pain as possible and to able to live the lifestyle that you desire.
