Management of Cancer Pain
Cancer pain is pain associated with a cancer process, but not all cancer pain is the same.
Effective treatment here requires identification of the specific type or types of pain a person is experiencing. This can be nerve pain, bone pain, organ pain, myofascial pain, etc. There is not one approach to cancer pain that fits all cancer processes. Each type of pain requires specific management.
We work closely with medical, surgical, and radiation oncologists to be certain your pain management is integrated with your cancer treatment, keeping you as comfortable and functional as possible.
To help with the integration of all your local cancer treatment at one site, we have offices within the Cancer Center of the KishHealth System. For more information on how we help manage cancer pain, visit our Cancer Pain Care site.
