Neck and Thoracic Pain
Neck and thoracic pain are conditions many patients experience. After diagnostic testing to determine the likely pain source we can then develop a treatment plan which sometimes includes interventional procedures
Cervical facet medial branch blocks- Medial branch nerve block is a procedure where an anesthetic is injected near medial nerves connected to a specific facet joint. This procedure is primarily diagnostic, If the patient experiences immediate pain relief after the procedure, then we can conclude that the facet joint is the source of the pain leading to the next procedure.
Cervical facet medial branch radio-frequency ablation- Although the name might be intimidating, the procedure is quite simple. RFA is used to eliminate pain by using an electrical current produced by a radio wave that heats up a small area of nerve tissue. This results in eliminating pain in that specific area.
Cervical epidural injections- Cervical epidural injections are steroid injections used to relieve pain and inflammation in the upper and middle portion of your spine. This procedure has proven its effectiveness time and time again.
